Frequently Asked
Questions
GRADUATION WEEKEND (MAY 8-9):
Due to the size of our restaurant and the intimate dining experience we strive to provide, we are unable to accommodate parties larger than 5 guests. This policy is firm, and space for parties of 5 is extremely limited.
Reservations for Graduation Weekend will open 30 days in advance via Resy. We are not able to accept reservations prior to the 30-day window. All reservations are first-come, first-served.
For the fastest and most efficient experience, we strongly recommend booking online through Resy (you can find the link under the Reservations tab at the top of our website).
If you are unable to secure a reservation when bookings open, please email hello@lallandemadison.com with your request and we will add you to the waitlist.
What are your hours?
We are open Wednesday through Saturday starting at 4pm, with our final seating at 9pm. Please note that Kitchen Bar seating is only available for reservations through 7:30pm.
can you accommodate allergy requests?
We are passionate about honoring French culinary traditions, which means our cuisine is naturally dairy-forward, gluten-forward, and centered around animal proteins.
While we are very mindful of our practices, we are not a strictly gluten-free, dairy-free, or nut-free restaurant, and there is always a risk of cross-contamination. Our farm-to-table ingredients and many advance preparations include gluten and dairy. Additionally, garlic and onions are foundational to many of our savory dishes, so we are unable to guarantee options for guests with allium sensitivities.
Our team cares deeply about providing thoughtful hospitality, and our knowledgeable staff will gladly help guide you through the menu during your visit.
PLANNING TO DINE WITH CHILDREN?
We love welcoming guests of all ages and are happy to help create a wonderful evening for the whole family.
We kindly ask that all children and infants be included in your total guest count when making your reservation. This allows us to prepare the most comfortable table arrangement for everyone in your party. High chairs are available upon request — we’re happy to have one ready for you.
Can I make a reservation for a party larger than 5?
We do our very best to accommodate as many parties as possible. Our restaurant is a small, intimate space with only 12 tables, so we are not accepting parties larger than 5 at this time in order to preserve the cozy, unhurried experience for the rest of our guests. We kindly ask that you do not make multiple reservations for more than one group.
Parties of 5 are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please email hello@lallandemadison.com to inquire for availability.
Can I rent Lallande for private events?
Thank you for your interest in Lallande! We are not offering options at this time for a restaurant buyout or private events. We recommend inquiring with our friends at the Harvey House as they offer a variety of packages for events/buyouts.
The reservation time I want is not available. Do you have any openings?
If you do not see the reservation time you’d like, then we do not have any openings at that time. You can either select an alternative time for the evening you’d like to join us for dinner, or we recommend adding yourself to our “Notify” list. If a table does cancel, then Resy will reach out to you directly to complete your reservation!
I’d like to make a reservation 3 months from now. Why are those dates crossed off on Resy?
We begin accepting reservations 30 days in advance through Resy. If the day is crossed off, then that day is not available yet to begin accepting reservations.
Do you take walk-ins?
We strongly encourage making reservations for both our dining room and kitchen bar seats to guarantee a table as we are a small, intimate space. We do our very best to accommodate walk-ins as we can, but many of our tables are for reservations.
Can I have a drink at the bar while I wait for my table?
We kindly ask that you arrive at your reservation time, as space is extremely limited to wait around before your table is ready. Our bar seats are reserved for dinner service as well, so we recommend stopping by one of our other neighbors down the street for a pre-dinner drink!
Do I need a reservation to sit at the bar?
Our kitchen bar seats are reservations in addition to the dining room and are typically the first to book up! Our bar is a Chef’s Table as you get a front row seat to our open kitchen and get to watch our talented team prepare your meal. When making your reservation, you can select “Kitchen Bar Seat” to secure your reservation at our bar.
Do you have a corkage fee?
At this time, we do not allow outside wines to be brought in. We offer a diverse selection of European wines on our beverage menu. Our servers will be happy to provide recommendations based on your preferences as well.
Where do I park?
We have many free parking options on side streets surrounding Lallande, particularly on Grant and Harrison Street. There are metered spots (free after 6pm) in front of Lallande on Monroe Street. We do not have a separate parking lot behind the restaurant.
How can I purchase a gift card?
We have a couple different options for purchasing a gift card! You can either purchase an e-gift card online; if you would prefer a physical gift card, you can come into the restaurant between 4-10p on Wednesday through Saturday, or email hello@lallandemadison.com to coordinate an alternative time to come in during the day.
